Dark clouds on wedding days often add excitement, but when you get married in Italy, you also get married for the romance of an Italian sun, right? It was a beautiful and promising tension (that's for sure). And creatively it became a great challenge to us because we had to look carefully (more then ever) where light came in. While letting go of the idea that this would be the "Italian Wedding" - like in the movies. Quite honestly; the emotion in these photos combined with the minimal light made us extra grateful for this unique experience.

The morning started promising under the Tuscan sun, blue skies and a fully prepared ceremony setting outside, but not much later - 10 minutes before the ceremony - it became an idea overshadowed by clouds. Literally. And being a wedding planner has always been a respectful profession, but at a moment like this.... You are a real hero. Martina (wedding planner Whiskow and White) managed to get everyone at ease and made sure the ceremony could take place inside (our compliments Martina!). As a bride, Sarah-Jane stayed very relaxed and focused entirely on her love for Brendan, her family and friends. To her, nothing is more important than that. No matter how beautiful the setting, flowers and dresses may have been. It is this focus on connecting, to what really matters, what makes them so joyful together and comes out beautifully on a day like this. The ceremony was unique, intimate and perfect because of the unexpected moments that followed. Photos in rain? Yes we did! Brendan and Sarah-Jane standing close to the venue, while we stand (romantically) under one umbrella clicking on our cameras. We are so happy with these images. Sometimes the process make the images even more special to us. Even during dinner, when rain was still pouring from the sky, a team of professionals managed to keep the atmosphere high. Above all, a Tuscan dream wedding for the Irish Brendan and his Australian Sarah-Jane. Thank you for trusting us on this unforgettable day.
